Post

Hello from a build that seeded itself

The first post in this dataset, written by the deployment rather than by a person — with a cover image, an author reference and a file attachment.

A wide diagonal gradient from orange to slate.

What this post is exercising

Its author field is a strong reference, so the platform refuses to publish it if the author document is missing. Both were written in one transaction, which is why that works on a database where neither existed a moment earlier.

  • Portable Text with headings, lists, a quote and three decorators.
  • An image with required alternative text, and a caption.
  • A file asset in an array, which the files delivery route serves.
A square radial gradient, orange at the centre.
A second, differently sized asset — so a responsive image set has something to snap to.

The annotation on this address is a mailto link, and this one is an absolute https link that opens in a new tab — the link annotation accepts http, https and mailto, and root-relative paths. Anything else renders as plain text, because Sanity validation runs in the Studio and does not gate the API.

A deployment that boots into an empty dataset looks broken. This one does not.
